Shortcut Cheese & Fruit Danish

  • Danish
  • 2 Cups Biscuit Mix (Or Gluten Free Biscuit Mix)
  • 1/4 Cup Butter (softened)
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Milk
  • Cheese Filing
  • 4 oz Cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Fruit Filling
  • Fruit Jam of your Choice
  • Icing
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Milk
Directions
  1. Preheat Oven to 450 Degrees F
  2. In bowl mix Biscuit mix, 1/4 cup butter, 2 tbsp sugar and 2/3 cup milk until dough forms let sit.
  3. In another bowl beat together cream cheese, egg yolk, 3 Tbsp Sugar and vanilla.
  4. Drop biscuit mix by rounded Tablespoonfuls onto parchment lined baked sheet.
  5. Create a well in the middle of the dough with the back of your spoon.
  6. Spoon 1 tsp of cream cheese mix and 1/2 tsp of jam of your choice in the center. You may just use cheese or jam if you prefer. Repeat this with each danish.
  7. Leave a couple inches of space between each one on the baking sheet to allow for spreading.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 450 Degrees or until golden brown.
  9. While cooling whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar and 1-2 TBSP of milk until icing forms. Drizzle over danish and serve.
  10. Makes 8-10 danish
